Pipe ramming services

Open ended steel pipes can be rammed through the ground from a start to an exit pit. Accumulated spoil inside the steel pipe is partially removed during the ramming process and can be totally removed after the bore has been completed.

This system is suitable for most soil types but excluding solid rock formations. There is no risk of ground subsidence or the creation of voids whilst using this technique.

Steel pipes up to 2,000 mm (80’) can be installed as casings or product carrying pipes underneath roads, motorways, railway embankments, rivers and canals. When used as a casing, a number of ducts for electricity / telephone cables, or several pipes for gas / water, can be accommodated.
